Insurance & Fees

My fee is $175 per 50-55 minute therapeutic hour for individual counseling.  I offer a sliding scale for those who are unable to meet the standard fee schedule or do not have insurance.
 

I accept cash, personal checks, and major credit cards as payment.  I require that all of my clients maintain a current, active credit card on file in their Electronic Health Record regardless of how each session is paid for.
 

I also accept most BCBS PPO and Aetna health plans, including the North Carolina State Health Plan. Please check with your insurance company before initiating our first session to determine what coverage you have, if you have a limited number of sessions, what your deductible is for mental health services, and what your co-pay/co-insurance amount is. In addition, most insurance companies will require a diagnosis of a mental health condition. Some of the conditions that people seek counseling for do not qualify for reimbursement. Please be aware that any diagnosis that is submitted will become a part of your permanent insurance record and cannot be held confidentially.
