About
Kristin Mastro
I have a Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University and am licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of North Carolina. I received my undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University in the field of Biology with a special concentration in Genetics.
I work with many different clients in many different stages of life. In particular, I have an interest in working with people who are struggling with emotional issues such as anxiety, attachment, and trauma. I work with individual adults and children, as well as couples and families. Prior to entering the counseling field I spent three years as an advocate for victims of domestic violence and worked for two years in a genetics laboratory. I have special training as a Play Therapist and utilize multiple treatment modalities with all of the clients I work with including Sandtray and EMDR, in addition to traditional talk therapy.
I currently hold memberships with the American Counseling Association, the North Carolina Association of Play Therapy, and I am a National Certified Counselor. I am also a Licensed Qualified Supervisor, and I am currently accepting newly licensed associate level clinicians seeking supervision.
